Cassia Syrup

Cassia Syrup

l cup water
l cup white sugar
l tblsp cassia buds ( rinse under running water first )

Mix water, sugar and cassia buds in sauce pan. Stir over heat till sugar is dissolved.
Bring to boil, let boil 7 minutes without stirring. Cool. Pour into glass cruet and store in fridge.
Note: When this elegant syrup was made a cinnamon stick was placed in the pouring glass before serving.
