Crullers – 1897

Two cupfuls brown sugar; one tablespoonful butter; two eggs; one cupful sweet milk; three cupfuls flour mixed with two teaspoonfuls baking powder and one teaspoonful salt. Mix together. Cut in desired shapes and fry in hot lard. Season with cinnamon and nutmeg.
